Interesting that they both actually agree that Kagome is the right person for him and that they both do not want him to end up like they did. Your couple is more civilized toward each other than many of the divorcees that I have met. Very refreshing characterizations. Not what I was expecting.

Not too unrealistic, I hope! Perhaps time has given them the distance they need to treat each other rationally. Glad you like the characterizations--I wasn't really interested in making anyone a villain for this story...just a little speed bump.

... Kagome is a human and Sesshomaru's mother is agreeing to him mating her??

I think she's not agreeing to anything, just acknowledging that he's right--she doesn't want to meet Kagome and find her worthy.

Hm, even if Mommy Dearest backs down, I'm not sure that Kagome would want him anymore. I wouldn't. Plus, he is still worried about losing everything over mating a human. Even if his mother backs down, he may not. Perplexing. The suspense is fun. ^_^ Thanks. This is a great little piece.

Glad you like it--I'm having fun with it too, especially not knowing exactly how it's going to go until the prompt is announced...still trying to figure where to take it next.
