Miko to Breakfast
Kagome slipped into her wheelchair from the bed. She thought it was odd that she had managed to do it without waking Sesshomaru. Then, she started to worry.
“You’re up early,” Sesshomaru stated, slowly opening his eyes, squelching the worry that was building up inside Kagome.
“I wanted to make sure you didn’t escape,” Kagome replied with her hands on her hips.
Kagome’s lively, high-spirited nature was one of the things Sesshomaru loved about her most of the time, and right now, he was quite amused that Kagome thought she could keep him from walking right out the front door. “You think you can stop me?” He asked with a smirk as he propped himself up on his elbow.
“I will try my hardest,” Kagome replied with a sly smile. “I am a miko, you know.”
“One that is untrained and hasn’t used her powers in a long time.” Sesshomaru got out of bed.
“Isn’t an untrained and powerful miko dangerous?” Kagome waved her arms wildly in an exaggerated gesture.
“They are,” Sesshomaru chuckled. “I’m not afraid of an untrained or trained miko, no matter how powerful they are. But let’s not test the fates and go get some breakfast.”
