Jennifer set the Socks down and Ronon watched the kitten race towards the sketch pad moving it at the last minute - this earned him a outraged hiss but he ruffled the annoyed kitten's fur and dodged her tiny claws as she instead turned to attention to a bit of wood shaving she could bat around.
"Hey," he said shifting awkwardly - he knew she'd been avoiding him, he really should make it clear she didn't have to.

She reached over to touch the rattle, brushing Ronon's hand on the way. It was just a little brush, but it reminded her how nice it had felt to have Ronon's hand holding hers a few minutes ago.

"Socks!" Jennifer yelped. "Bad kitty!" Socks sat on her leg and stared up at them as if demanding they pay attention to her or there would be hell to pay.

"I'll see you later?" She attempted to pry the cat loose from Ronon's pants, which took a little bit as even though Socks was obviously hungry and ready to go, she loved to aggravate Ronon. Typical cat.
