My wedding dress was my aunt's, with the bodice redone to fit ... but there were these pesky tiny holes in the skirt, here and there. I took a remnant of pretty sold-by-the-yard lace, carefully cut apart the paisley-like-shaped motifs, and sewed them onto the skirt. They appeared randomly scattered -- only I knew how I picked where to put them! ;) (The leftover motifs were glued onto my shoes, which were just plain, white canvas shoes. No one could see my feet under the dress, anyway.)
