Fantastic! ...or not...

So I have been watching more Dr. Who. It continues to be awesome. But...Rose. She does not. She has now pissed me off two episodes in a row. Who lets a near total stranger borrow the keys to their time machine? Honestly. I hope this is not a sign of things to come but...the internet must hate her for a reason (I mean, usually the internet has a ( Read more... )

the internet must hate her for a reason (I mean, usually the internet has a reason).

Oy, I love(d) Rose! (She was the only thing that kept me going - read: watching - come season two, when Christopher Ecclestone wasn't around anymore.) And let's not drag the internet into this; according to what I've observed on and around my f-list, tons of folks liked Donna (3rd nu!companion if you're new to the series) and I loathed her whiny, self-entitled ways. (My brother, who'd never seen a Doctor Who ep before caught a bit of an ep with her, and complained about her whining as well. I had to show him the first nu!Who ep to prove I wasn't off my rocker for watching the show in the first place.)

Anyways, my point was meant to be: personal opinions are fine and may vary, which is how it should be. The internet, however, is much like monkeypedia - fallible depending on what and who the source is.

ETA: Donna not Martha, obviously. My bad. I loved Martha, while folks pretty much hated her. Goes to show who has the better taste. ;-)

Well that sounds like a good sign. Maybe these two eps are a fluke? I mean in that first one (the one with Satellite 5) the suck is mostly due to Third Character Guy whose name I forget. I kept wanting to call him Vincent because he reminds me (for some bizarre reason because he's not particularly awesome) of that character on Bones. But it kinda seemed like he was being written out, which is fine.

But seriously, if you lend somebody your car keys and they steal your car you might be stranded until another car comes by, or you can walk somewhere or something. But if your time machine goes missing? You're pretty screwed. That's all I'm saying.
