You need to confine him to smaller areas either with closed doors or (HIGH!) gates. Also, i would suggest some doggy proofing even more so than you already have. Everything that he is likely to grab should go away in drawers or baby locked cabinets.
I don't leave the dogs in a crate once they're older but both are only allowed to be in the living room and the rest of the house is off limits when no one is home. Every time i leave i do a once over of the area to see if there's anything frankie can get into as well. You just have to have a strict management style.
I know it probably doesn't make you feel better, but my husband and I are laughing hysterically at your photos. Our dog has been on a major destruction rampage today and it's kind of nice to know we're not alone.
I would second the suggestion of restricting his space more and seriously doggy-proofing the area. Our dog is confined to the laundry room when we are not home (which conveniently has a doggy door, so she can go outside and do her business). I've seen pen-like structures at the pet store and also I've seen people use baby-gates.
LOL. I cracked up at the photos, especially the second one. He looks so "What?! I didn't do anything!" Plus, my pup does the saaame things. And I think she can fly too, we find things in the house and it's just like "...?"
How old is he? Puppies are destructive, curious, and prone to getting into trouble, so if he's young that could be contributing to it.
Also, he looks like he could be some sort of husky mix. Let me tell you they are notorious for being destructive when bored and they are extremely high-energy, high-drive dogs. He could be in need of a lot more exercise and mental stimulation than he's currently receiving.
I love his expression in those pics. "Yeah, I know you don't like it. BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT." xD
My mom grew potatoes in her garden years ago. When we moved back to my hometown, we stayed with my parents while we found a place. My lab/golden retriever mix dug up every single potato. Mom was less than amused, but I thought it was hilarious.
