Hey guys! I'm trying to put together a website and stuff and I found this really good place I can buy some space in. Freeservers.com I think I'm going to have to pay in order for my site to look half-decent, the advertisements are really annoying and ruin layouts, etc. etc. Though I'm not sure what package to take ( Read more... )

Hmmm...yeah, I'm sure there's someone out there with a good host server recommendation.

Maybe try it without the 2 year subscription first to see if it's everything you expect and if that goes well, commit to the 2 yr plan.

Hmn...though I wonder if I could get a refund if I want to cancel? I'm new to online payment systems and stuff.

Thanks for the advice! = D

Might be a good time to test their customer service. Ask them all your questions about services and fees and see how responsive they are.

lol how about a japanese host..? ♥ :D
I used to have a site over at http://fc2.com and I found it a really good service :) It's free, and they provide just a little over 1 GB space! There's ads as well, but only one-liner texts that can blend into your background xD

Oh wow... that sounds awesome! My Japanese is a little rusty though, is it hard to sign up/use/etc?

I'll try and look into it tonight, thanks a lot! : D

I..don't think it's that hard to access, so long as you know uhhm jap basics ?? ;D
;;;;

Have you ever done FTP work before..? the great thing with fc2 is that even if you don't have an FTP client, they have their own page in which you can upload/edit stuff. Sorta like livejournal's richtext editor. Not sure if I'm making sense to you yet, haha :P but if you ever need help with anything, do ask~! C:

lmao I've heard of FTP before but I have no idea what it is... I'm used to the geocities way where you have this blank page and you type in your codes from scratch. I'll go check it out now... :D

It may not seem like a lot, but 1GB should be enough space for.. anything and everything. At least for a few years. >_>;

Really...well I don't plan on uploading pics on the site, just from photobucket to keep the space free. lol. But thanks! :DD
