fashionable spring cleaning: warning, tedious

I have been conducting an intensive closet purge the past few weeks. It's all part of my master plan to only buy used clothing. Well, mostly used. I mean let's be serious, I'm just not buying second-hand undies and socks. But as a bonus factor, the closet purging feels good! I've been thinking that I should do the same thing with my closet for the past several months. Perhaps your tale will inspire me to actually get it done this weekend (or the next? lol).

Re: earth tones. I tried owning brown pants and green/plaid/etc jackets, but now that I've had a big-girl job for 2 months and have worn my brown pants exactly once...I think I need to ditch the earth tone idea too. Black is my base color and I'm okay with that.

I think earth tones definitely work for some people but I do NOT have the complexion to pull them off. They just make me look sickly. I have 1 brown corduroy jacket/blazer thing that I have worn 2 times in as many years. Because I only paid $5 for it I am holding onto it but....it will probably go at some point.

I vowed a while ago to never buy anything brown again. There is no way I want to wake up and put on a damned brown shirt. This also goes for olive green. I still have one brown tank top and bra I'm not sure what to do with. The dog did chew part of the tank top so I'm almost out of the woods.
