You might not remember LiveJournal, a now-moribund social-blogging site, but Mark Zuckerberg does: the second scene in The Social Network depicts him liveblogging a hacking jag on his LiveJournal. (Unlike much of the movie, that scene is mostly true-to-life.) I was on LJ too,

True and I'm guilty (of saying so little), however...I find facebook really annoying.

Yes... and it's about time dammit! I know there's no guarantee that you'll post again, but I've been missing your views on world events and well... Your Life. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has missed you.

On a basic level I recognize FB's usefulness, but it's reallllllly not where I want to spend my time online. I find it very brain sucking... in that interesting discussion just really doesn't happen there. LJ still fulfills my need to chronicle my life and share it with the people I have chosen to.

I don't know what the future holds for blogging/journaling/& social networking, but I despair that we've all been reduced to wordbytes. The whole experience has made me appreciate my friends here all the more.

Guilty as charged. My insane schedule basically has kept my attention span to the short comments on facebook. I have been periodically reading LJ, going to specific people's pages and leaving the occassional comment, but haven't posted any real content in months.

I don't seem to be getting on LJ or Facebook lately! My LJ paid account is due in February and I am considering not renewing.
