I´m glad you had a nice trip :)

LOL, that remark about SekiTomo :D

That electric chair would scare me as well... Cruelty is something I can´t stand, even though it´s (of course) easier if you know nobody gets hurt for real (movies and similar stuff). It´s so stunning to imagine the pain anyone goes through... (This isn´t meant to be an admonition or something :) )

Yeah, dolphins are wonderful animals but people should use their brain...

GPSs? I think they´re pretty accurate (or accurate enough to suffice the reason they´re made for) :) Am I wrong?

I'm not sure if SekiTomo has the most main roles but he freakin' has plenty.

The thing is I thought the electric shock immediately made you unconscious and then shut down your nerves, then ultimately the vital organs. But, I read about mistakes. I think what that chair exhibit was trying to express was the unexpected happening. We may not end up unconscious.

And that is why we rarely use it.

I didn't get a chance to read the death row facts closer. ;(

As for the GPS, family likes to use it but sometimes he leads us clear from important roads. I don't remember what happened.

Hah, I believe so :)

You´re right... I´ve just remembered the scene from Green Mile (or something like that with Tom Hanks in the leading role, I guess). It was really horrible but, as well as the one described above, it belongs to the category of "mistakes".

In Slovakia, there´s no such thing as death sentence. I´d prefer to use life sentence instead but the sentences are usually too lenient and the worst criminals walk our streets free... As it is now, our system of law protects criminals rather than solid citizens.

I´m no experienced user of GPS but I heard you can choose the fastest road (mostly big important roads) or the shortest (km) one. Sometimes it makes some difference... But of course, I don´t think these systems are unmistakable.

Ah, the Green Mile. Lovely movie, based off on a book (From Stephen King??). I know what scene you're talking about too. Really moving/scary..and made you want to just beat up Percy ;) What he did was on purpose, but the horrid result of it looked similar to what I read about a guy who sat in the chair for so long, alive, that he was burnt inside out.

Michigan, where I am, doesn't have Capital punishment (death sentence). Sometimes I am naive about justice, sometimes going to radical lengths.

As much as I'm into human morality, we can't help but think that criminals shouldn't receive mercy. Especially mass murderers. Sometimes I'm skeptical about prison too. Many gang leaders/mafia aren't in prison long and they still perform their activities within prison.

And can't prisons be filled?
