I finished my (third!) honey cowl! I now have a short one (made with the yarn you gave me), a long one that I gave away as a gift, a long one for myself (the one I just finished), and I'm contemplating making ANOTHER long one to give to my sister :D

It's plums cooked down with spices until it's spreadable--like jam! Very tasty :D

Boo and I changed our sheets from cotton to flannel on the 16th, and it was a little hard to sleep in them that night. But the reason we did it was because on the 17th, we went to Maui for 10 days/9 nights. Maui was beautiful and relaxing, but HOT. And when we got back Friday night the 26th, when Portland had switched seasons on us while we were gone, and night temps dipped into the mid 40s, I can't tell you how comfortable that was!!!

Fresh sheets... ::happy sigh::

Side note - I just totally thought of new sheet comment!fic for John & Rodney. And now I think I'm gonna go write it. :)

Firstly, your wee story is SO ADORABLE, asdlfkj :D

And secondly, there is just NOTHING like being all cozy burrowed in bed. The fall is the best, not too warm, not too chilly. I hope you continue to have just the right temperature. :D (Though flannel sheets are of the devil--not slippy enough!! In fact, Cate once wrote me some commentfic when I was lamenting about having to sleep on flannel sheets :D http://archiveofourown.org/works/117952 I NOW HAVE A COLLECTION OF SHEET STORIES \o/ )

Thank you!!!! Such fun writing it - and I needed that little break yesterday, too. Took me out of my brain for a few minutes (work...blech!)

Somehow I'd missed that Nantucket story! And I have to say, everyone around me was looking at me funny as I cackled, reading it. Because I can damn well see John Sheppard saying, "I'm totally pantsless right now."

::snerk::

How deedy! These sound like really splendid ways to celebrate Fall. :-)

Hmmm, scalloped tomatoes? Now I have to go hunt up a recipe. Thanks for the idea!
