I posited in sirona_gs's journal that Steve answered Danny's phone, because none of the other crap visible on that table (and there was a lot of it) was a second cell phone. Danny's keys were right there, so it's the logical place for him to keep his phone.

Ya know, all things considered...? It wouldn't surprise me at all if people were used to Steve, at least, answering both phones, with the "McGarrett..." bit telling the caller who'd answered. 'Cos really? I don't know about anyone else, but I don't answer my personal cellphone with my surname. ;-)
Steve's proprietary attitude towards Danny could easily be extended to answering his phone, seems like. (Besides, it definitely makes more sense for that to be Danny's phone -- doesn't seem all that likely that Steve would leave his phone downstairs when he's sleeping upstairs, as (a)he might not hear it, and (b) if the house was being invaded (again), he'd want his phone within easy reach.

I'm ignoring the part where it looks like an iPhone. Also the fact that Danny's gun is nowhere to be seen. And maybe the reason Steve knows he's not wearing pants is that they're folded over the far end table (like his shirt is over the near one). Whatever.
I'm very logical, but am capable of ignoring it when it pleases me.
Okay, but my real question now is, is Danny going to stay Steve's roommate ("roommate"--and I honestly, even without the slash goggles, don't know how to interpret that last scene as anything OTHER than Steve asking him to stay?!), or is he going to live in a wee house down the street from Steve? EITHER OPTION IS GOOD! :D
