Wow, thank you so much for sharing that! I didn't know there was a name for that starling flocking behaviour. I used to live in Rome, and the starlings would do that at dusk. I would sometimes stop on the footpath and just stare in awe as these shapes were made and remade before my eyes, above a cityscape that was stunning enough by itself. Since the locals were used to it, it used to seem like I was the only person looking up and seeing it happen.
