SG:U(GH). (Though I must admit that I'd love to see the one for Atlantis, now . . . it probably sounds just as awful.)

Well, if I wasn't already completely not interested in this, I would be now. There was everything bad in that, from "like the Jack O'Neill of ten years ago," to " like Matt Damon's character from Good Will Hunting with a little Jack Black thrown in"

It does make me wonder about the one for Atlantis too, though.

Hahaha I know! I mean, maybe all casting sheets read like that, but it sounds SO ridiculous. :D

I do wonder how the 'utter genius, total slacker' character is supposed to be DIFFERENT from John Sheppard.

Oh, WAIT. He's like, young.

PAH. I LIKE MY MEN WITH A FEW MILES ON THEM. (IMO, JFlan is far more delectable now, with his wrinkles and wear and gray hairs and comfort in his skin, than he was in pics I've seen of him in early movies. Then again, I also have a huge thing for Hugh Laurie, who's almost twenty years older than me...)

YES. Just last night, in fact, I was comparing younger and current pictures of Joe side by side and thinking about how very nicely he's settled into his skin. :>

And how lucky is his wife? That she gets to see him get hotter over the years?

THAT IS SO AWESOME.

Oh, now that sounds horrible. I would like to see the Atlantis one, though. Just to see if it was as bad as this one is.

I can't even begin to articulate how much these descriptions make me want to throw things at my computer screen.

And seriously, nicknamed "psycho"? Just...no!

Oh John Sheppard, I share your eyeroll. :D

I think I just threw up in my mouth.

Chloe Carpenter--Silver spoon upbringing and a little spoiled but not stupid either. Politically and socially savvy. Dreams of following in her father's footsteps but for now she's a bit of a party girl in her first year at an Ivy League school

Ron "Psycho" Stasiak--His past is a mystery but it's clear something dark formed the hard shell around him

They're kidding with the "Psycho" thing, right? Oh dear lord... Can we start the parody fic now?

I just...there are no words for how turned off I am by these character descriptions. Even if they end up totally revamped, I'd feel like an old perv, watching all those 20-somethings bounce around the screen. I don't want plastic beauty and youth. I want people with character. Like you said, people who have grown into their skins and have life experience.

Sure, let's get some 'star' 40-something year old in there...because there was obviously something wrong with Joe Flanigan. *shakes head sadly* Idiots!

The new people will not have receding hairlines or gray patches in their scruff, I bet! WOE.

Oh, do I ever have a THING for gray patches in scruff. HOMG.
