Little updating for them that don't already know:

Tim Olyphant (Seth Bullock) is the villian in the new Die Hard flick. Sammydance on that!

Ian McShane (Al Swearengen) should be showing up on Broadway in August, if I'm not mistaken.

Jim Beaver (Ellsworth on DW, Bobby on SPN) plays Vietnam Joe on Milch's new HBO series John from Cincinnati.

This is totally silly cuz I can't remember what radio station it is here in LA, but it's a tiny indie station that has a fun morning show. Tim Oliphant did a daily sports report that covered every single possible sport being played anywhere on earth (including local little league) and it was SO FUNNY!! I hate sports but I was listening to his reports every day while I drove to work because he cracked me up so bad. lolol Very clever guy (and cute!)

And I love Bruce Willis. He's a guilty pleasure. I'm still dying to know why Demi called him "big daddy". Hmmm. There's a good story there. ;)

Tim is very, very witty. It always amuses me when I hear people say he's not much of an actor, not being able to give Seth any more "life" than he does. I usually want to smack them upside the head and say "HE'S ACTING!!!!"

I really think they should have sent out DVDs with Tim being Tim along with Tim being Seth. THEN he would have gotten the fucking Emmy he got robbed of.

Not that I'm biased or anything ... Heh.

Hmm...I may have to give John from Cincinnati a chance if only for it's inclusion of the most excellent Jim Beaver.

Jim Beavers a great reason to watch anything, far as I can see.

wow! I'm a total idiot. All this time, I thought Tim played Sol. LOL! I defnitely HAVE to catch that new Die Hard movie, because I'm a huge Seth fan.
Thanks!

LOL. Nope, that would be John Hawkes.

You want to see Awesome Olyphant, try Go. He's kickass in that, too. Although he'll always be Seth to me.

I know you very like Deadwood but it just not my thing at all. But I trust your opinion so yeah, Jim rocks :)

John From Cincinnati might not be either, Leelust. It's appeal is actually less universal, methinks, than Deadwood's was. Especially for non-Americans not well versed in the zen philosophies so typified by the surfing culture in this country.

And there are drug and profanity aspects to it that puts off many of the same folks who found DW unwatchable for those reasons.

That being said, Vietnam Joe is a pretty freakin universal character, so even if you didn't grok the show as a whole, bet you'd enjoy Jim in it.
