oh wow. I love your stories so much, they all have that little bit of humour and angst and introspection and history that make them so rich and funny and a joy to read. This one was no different. Your John/Mary dynamic was really well written, it's easy to see John as the hunter who sacrifices everything (including his children's childhood) for the woman he loves. John's brotherly relationship with Jim as well as his complicated one with Kate all add so much flavour to the story! I can see where you got Mike's character. I though he was kind of blase in Home while talking about his freind but maybe that's just me. Again, excellent story! I loved it!

Thanks! I went into all the perefery characters in John's life primary to define John as a man by using alegory. Mike, Jim and Kate are aspects of the world to him. Mary is the only other person in John's existence.
