The last ep is still on my DVR, but I'll see it shortly (and then read your post, so it makes sense). I do love this show!

And I second your worry/fury about possibly losing FX, especially now that you've turned me into a Justified fan, too...

I'm a little insane over the possibility, since out here in the never-never, we don't even HAVE the option of changing to cable. Dammit.

I tried to watch this show last night and had absolutely NO idea what the hell was going on, coming in late on the fly, so to speak. I hadn't even heard of this show before, then someone on my flist mentioned it. But I think they are showing a marathon starting MOnday night, so maybe I will try watching all the eps then (hopefully they will start with the pilot ep!) so I will know what is going on with all the characters and back story. Just from the parts I saw last night, I was like "What IS this, this show is so weird?! And I was surprised by the raw language for some reason, it seemed more HBO than FX to me, ha.

Yup ... marathon from episode 1. And you're right, you do need to catch it from the get-go. Everything is tied together in all the tastiest ways ... :)

And yeah. I think FX is going for the HBO ratings crowd. Which makes me even NUTTIER that I might lose it off my DTV. *grumpyface*

There you go again, dude! You and me with the two big circles of interests that intersect in a teeeeeeeny tiny little arc.

That would be SPN and Trek.

This here? Not so much. When it comes to the Ryan Murphy brainchildren - I'm at the GLEE end of the spectrum. *waves to you from over there*

Still love you like a mad thing, though, and miss you a ton. Spring 2012? You, me, and the Debster? Is this a possibility?

I love this show madly. But then again, I'm a huge horror fan, too. But you? Not so much so. And I don't think it would be possible to enjoy this show even slightly if you aren't a horror fan. It is the most truly horror series I have ever seen. The only thing that even comes close to matching it is American Gothic.

Miss you a ton, too. Don't know about Spring. If it is doable, I am definitely there. Life is kind of a rolling crap-shoot for me these days though. But I will try.

So glad to see someone else on flist watching/commenting on this show! I don't know what to think, really, which is why it's so entertaining. (I loved seeing ZQ in that role, BTW, especially so soon after he officially came out.)

The many ghosts and possible ghosts...very interesting. I think your theory about Tate makes a lot of sense (my husband and I talked about that last night, how the only time we've seen him away from the house was on Halloween, when the spirits are free to walk the earth).

Also, your thoughts about Viv and Violet, although the possibility did occur to me that they're ghosts already, having actually been killed in the home invasion. But then we did see Viv at the hospital this episode, so probably not, especially in view of the monster baby she's apparently carrying. And I like your "mother's love will conquer all" theory. It's nicely symmetrical when coupled with the idea that the whole thing started with the abortion clinic.

Fun fun.

So many critics dogged it from the get-go. I actually expected it to be crap, but I found it great fun. And I've been braced for it to go to crap for 3 weeks now. But it just keeps getting better. Then James Wong goes and throws his writer's hat in the ring and I can't contain my glee any longer.

I think many of those who seem to hate it don't really care for horror. Because this? Is horror in a way I've never seen a TV show even ATTEMPT to do horror before. This is horror right up there with the best horror in movies and books. Which is probably why I love it so much.

Well, that and the dream team cast. Vera Farminga is actually one of my top 3 actresses on the planet, so to watch her little sister show some chops, too? That is all kinds of exciting to me. And I LOVE both Frances and Jessica, as well as Evan and Connie.

Don't know for sure where they are going to go with it, but for right now at least? I'm have a blast with the ride.

Oh you should see the shit that the "Sons of Anarchy" fans and Kurt Sutter are kicking up over DTV possibly dumping FX. It's well... it could be Anarchy. :p

Your theories on Tate are the same ones I've had about him since I think episode two or so. Whichever episode that Constance revealed the stuff about her kids. So it's kind of nice to know I'm not the only one thinking that.

Actually I wasn't sure what the hell the thing in the basement might be until we got to that monstrous reveal about the fate of Nora's child in this last episode. It wasn't the most original scare ever with the strobing and the terrorizing of Violet's high school bully, but I have to confess my heart still sped up when you realized Tate wasn't the only thing going after that girl. Messed Up. Creepy.

I'm looking forward to the next episode. :) It's good stuff. On a side note... I'm also happy to see you're loving Prime Suspect as much as I am. :D

I was pretty sure Tate was dead from the get-go, but have been having trouble trying to reconcile how he can be a ghost and still have been referred to Ben as a viable patient. But once I stumbled upon the idea that Ben is not a real psychiatrist, but rather potentially a family killer who was institutionalized and has just been CLAIMING to be a psychiatrist since his release (probably when he turned 21, if his back-story is what I'm beginning to think it is, meaning that "Larry" is his real persona and he burned his family alive as a teen, then re-invented himself as "Ben" upon his release from the psych ward)? That made all sorts of sense of a number of things that have been bothering me on the logic end of how this all fits together ( ... )
