I have not even posted about it yet, but in April, just a few weeks ago, I got to go to Disney’s annual blowout Star Wars Celebration convention. It was pretty expensive for any autographs & photo ops, so aside from the group photo w my girls & Greg Grunberg, I selected just one person to meet. Posted this on FB today for National Sibling Day! That’s me with the bowl cut. It was 1986, don’t judge me! You could see what country kids we were - we came from farmers, after all. And that was our family dog, Mackinaw. He was a St Bernard mixed with a Siberian Husky - a Saint Husky, if you will. He was my little brother’s best friend. ( Read more... )

...here’s what’s been going on with me. I had surgery the day before Thanksgiving. Let’s rewind to the beginning of summer, when my left leg started bothering me, my hip constantly feeling like it needed to be uncramped. I was in the waiting room at the doctor’s when I saw the news on my phone that Stan Lee had died. I started crying before I could get any words out. It felt like my heart was shattering right there. One year ago today, we lost our mother. It feels like it was just yesterday & also a lifetime ago. I still think to myself, "This is a good movie, I should recommend it to Mom."
