"Step Up." What the hell kind of love message is that?
LOL. Step up and go looking for love, maybe?

I get Valentine's Day candy/gifts from my mom. It's sweet, but I'd prefer not to. I don't like this day, I don't wanna celebrate it. The only thing I wanna do on Valentine's is watching Jensen's My Bloody Valentine.

I took it as, "Step Up and Commit Already" which what kind of love message is that? I like yours, "Step up and go looking for love," - it's nicer.

I got chocolates from my sister - they are yummy. See, I don't think of it as a romantic holiday. I have lots of people that I love in life, and I just celebrate that on Valentine's Day. I send little cards to all the kids in my family and buy presents for my roommates.

I do get kind of pissy when people ask me, "Are you celebrating with anyone special this year?" I always answer, "Yes, my two best friends in the world," but I know they mean romantic person and I'm just like thinking how uncool that is to ask someone that when you don't know their situation (lonely, recently broken up, just had their spouse die on them, whatever). I also hate when people say, "Oh, no one special? Well, maybe next year. You'll find someone ( ... )

Yeah, I understand you. But, personally, I think this day should really be for those who are in love. Because we have Children's Day, Mother's Day, Women's Day, Name Days to give something little to all other... Because originally it was like that.

But anyway, I hate that question, too. It's like when you don't have anyone 'special', then you're totally wasting your life. And what if you're not planning to have that someone special? Does it mean you're insane or something?

Like when you go to a wedding and people keep patting your back and saying, "It'll happen for you someday, sweetie. You hang in there." I hate that.

I have had people tell me how sad it is that this one person I know isn't married with kids yet, and I am like, "You realize she doesn't want to be married or have kids, right? That is a choice she made on purpose." And they all just stare at me like they think I must be getting that wrong.
