Thank you, baby. You know, despite all the time in the car, it was a pretty excellent trip. I am very glad we went.

Sounds like you had fun. I'm a little jealous. ;)

p.s. How's my little jacket!porn fic doing? I know you were unwell and busy elsewhere, so I'm just asking.

I did have fun, thank you! The town really had that small town feel that I love so much. (your icon seems proper for this post about the cute little town). Sorry to make you jealous though, darling.

Oh! I saw the LJ notification about your birthday coming up and I was all, "Hey, I should pull out that long since abandoned fic I was working on for her." I got excited about it and then my physical therapist gave me the smackdown about spending too much time on the computer this weekend, because my shoulder is all jacked up. I just wanted to shout at him, "But it's Jojo's birthday and I must write porn!" but I thought he probably would give me The Bitch-Face if I shouted that out, so...

But this is a good reminder that I haven't tackled my Unfinished Folder in awhile, so I'll at least pull it out and have a look.

You forgot about our sojourn through Quebec where everything was in French. And about the guy at the Harvey's who held the door for us and when I said "Merci" to thank him (because I'm polite like that) he thought we spoke French and rattled something off to us that neither of us understood.

I think that was seriously one of my favorite things about the trip. Because I'm weird like that. =D

I did forget about Quebec!! I am lame! I am so lame, in fact, that I am replying to this comment when I am pretty sure that you are like 20 feet away from me in the kitchen and I could easily just start talking to you. /hedadesk/ At any rate, I corrected this great disservice in my second post. Whew.

I am still wondering if French-Dude was making polite conversation or hitting on you - since we can't ever be sure, I'm gonna say hitting on you.

Did I forget anything else?

Sounds like a pretty good vacation so far bb. Especially the reminiscing about your mis-spent youth! lol

That Bree Sharp track is really good. I've never heard that version of Boys of Summer (an excellent song btw) before. I do love me a good road trip mix and it sounds like yours was a winner.

So, when do we get to see this Dean/Cass 1940's thing? Cos I for one would love to see the two of them against the backdrop of WWII with the depredations of war and all that soft-focus longing the era evokes.

It was a pretty damn good vacation, yes. :)

Especially the reminiscing about your mis-spent youth! lol

I didn't even tell the story about how he used to hang upside down (man, that boy was flexible) from my open-arched doorway like some sort of crazed acrobat. You know, just for fun.

I love Boys of Summer and the first time I heard this cover I was a little jarred, because I am so used to the original, but it really grew on me and now I am a bit obsessed.

So, when do we get to see this Dean/Cass 1940's thing? Cos I for one would love to see the two of them against the backdrop of WWII with the depredations of war and all that soft-focus longing the era evokes.

See, when you say it like that, it really makes me want to write it! But I have a feeling it would involve a lot of research and knowledge and you know how lazy I am - (the fic I researched the most was the Dean-writes-Glee-fanfic story and that was too much for my liking, lol). I know exactly where I want to end it but I have no solid thought on how they get there. ( ... )

Oh yeah, gods save me from having to research for a fic, I am not a fan of it at all myself. I'm always way impressed with people who do tho. You could always just write the end of the story and have the set up in the authors notes.

The idea I had for the Dean/Cas time travel story is essentially - Dean and Cas get sent back in time. They have to buy the clothes and fit in and everything while they try to get back to our time. They rent a small room together (one bed) and get jobs or something and do lots of time-travel research in their spare time. Dean is freaked out that Sam is alone in the future and Cas tries to reassure him that Sam isn't, because he does have Bobby. And says something like, "You aren't alone either, Dean. You always have me," and takes Dean's hand ( ... )

I want to see those mock Jerry Springer episodes. Badly.

Omg, no. No one must ever see them!! (I swear, we weren't even high when we made those!) It was a "Whose your baby-daddy?" theme and it ended with my male friend beating my other male friend with a baby doll and screaming, "You're the only one I slept with!!" /facepalm/ Can I claim being 19 as my excuse?
