So, post-surgery, the first 24 hours home are awful. So much pain, can’t sleep, can barely move on my own. Well, because in the hospital I was on 75mg of Oxy - yes, Oxy. So glad he recognized that one size fits all does not fit *me*.

Thank goodness! And no wonder the 5 mg. oxy tablets they gave my brother when he broke his hip did NOTHING for his pain. The fear of oxy is keeping people from getting adequate pain relief, and that's sad.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I have friends (several) out there in the world who have no family at all, and if they were ever house-bound with an injury I don't how they'd manage.

I just posted a wee LOTR fic (finally, something!), which pleases me. Pippin is sound asleep on my bed, making her sound-asleep snurply noises as she chases squirrels in her dream, which also pleases me.

I simply can't imagine how awful that's been for you and how much pain you've been in. I hope you're feeling MUCH better by now. I'm sorry for what you've been through.

I just found out that one of my best friends grew up in Hell, MI. Are you very far from there? It must be a hoot to tell people that you live in Hell. :)
