Two nights ago, Sis is out playing with Winston in the backyard and sees two dead baby birds. She puts on her work gloves and scoops them up, to dispose of. Nature is cruel. I don't know what could be done for the little birds, like if there's a place to get the right kind of mashed up bugs for them. Sad.

I know it was rough for my sister to just leave the little birdies on the ground outside in the heat we were having - I can't blame her for wanting to do something - but I knew nature was gonna take its course either way.

I suggested we liquefy some sausage and give them that but Sis read up and unless you know what kind of bird it is, you shouldn't do that because some birds eat bugs, some worms, some grains and giving them the wrong kind will kill them. We stuck with milk and water.

It was sad. Watching them go was hard, but expected, but it was Ernie flailing out of Sis' hand that was so horrifying. (he hit the ground so hard).
