So, here are my totals for last year. My goal was initially to do 500 words a day. Then I cut it down to 1,000 words a week. Most months I didn’t make that goal, especially in the last six months of the year when word count production was cut in thirds due to stress and like no free time for myself. It was a lower word count than the past few years, but I keep telling myself it's a miracle I had the brain power to write at all this year, considering everything going on with my mom, so I'm proud of this!

Thank you for asking about my mom. I keep meaning to make a post, but I just don't know what to say.

She's in the hospital again. Pretty bad pneumonia and possible sepsis infection. It's pretty bad. Canadian brother drove here today to see her, just in case. I saw her yesterday and she looked bad. So, thank you for your kind thoughts and I am still hoping I will have better news next time we talk, but right now, we are unfortunately preparing for the worst.

Yeah, I was disappointed the second half of the year was only a third of what I wrote in the first half of the year. After my first 6 months came out decent, I decided to strive for 50k, but I had no idea how my life was about to blow up, so I'll take 32k!

Thanks, babe! This year's word count was considerably lower than my past years but all of my brain power this year was taken up by mom-stuff and I just keep telling myself that that's okay and that 32k is good. Because it is! With everything going on at home, any words are good words!

Amazing! So productive. And I love that you feel comfortable writing in so many fandoms.

This fall I pretty much gave up on working on art because work took up too much of my time. This semester might be as bad AND I am promising myself to read more published fiction so I will be spending less time on other stuff. But I did sign up as an artist for spn_j2_bigbang, so I will be working on at least one thing this spring.

Sometimes I just want my muses to focus on one thing though!! But mostly the fact that I can jump from one fandom to another so easily shows like so much about my personality. I am a true Gemini, I hear.

I'm glad you signed up for the BB though, because it's when your Rl is so hectic and crazed that you need that outlet even more. It's important to make time for that stuff, for the fun stuff that you want to do!
