I had a really great weekend and I have pics to show you from it, but I don't have them uploaded yet. So in the meantime, I thought I'd post pics of the painting I did for my mom for Mother's Day. She is an avid collector of leaves - (and rocks and pinecones and feathers, etc) - and her decor is very nature-like, so this will go well in her house

Thank you! She really did! It was funny, because if you ever want to know if someone really likes the art gift you made them, accidentally let them see it beforehand and see their response, lol. Since she made such a fuss about how beautiful it was when she accidentally saw it, I knew she was going to love it when she opened it!

Aww, thank you. Sometimes I get critical of my own work, so it's lovely to hear other people say it. I loved the process of this one, as it went through so many versions until I ended up where I did. My mom didn't realize it, but I called her a few times for advice on how to fix certain areas of it and she was helping me with her own present, lol!
