So, apparently this weekend was Gaming Weekend around my house. Yesterday, Sis and I played 3 rounds of Smashup and I won, best out of 3! I can count on my fingers the number of times I have beat my sister at any games in our lives, so that was awesome. I got to be Ghost Aliens and Steampunk Robots and Shapeshifting Minions of Cthulhu ( Read more... )

ghosts say boo, robots - lick my battery, lord of the rings took my virginity, family circus, aliens probe you, boromir is my captain, scratch my back & i'll scratch yours, real life, because i'm sick and twisted like that, fannish joy, sister oh sister, the walking dead are coming!, giant monsters

I bet that RPG is set up like that so it can be done in one night, instead of as a campaign that might last months or years, as they are wont to do.

Sounds like it was an awesome weekend!

Geek Out sounds like an awesome game. Do you have plans to see Jupiter Ascending? I think you and Jessie would enjoy it a lot since its pretty and silly and a complete ride of a movie.

It is! J bought it, so we can play next time you are here visiting.

Actually M went and saw it by herself one day because she was having a bad weekend and needed something light and fun, and she LOVED it. Says it is a fangirl's dream come to life. So the next weekend we were set to go, all three of us, but it was the week I had the UTI and like 3 different appts and by Saturday I was wiped out, so I opted out. J went with her and came back and was like, "You need to see this movie. You need to understand about the dogman and the rollerblades, okay. This movie was made for you." Now I regret not going but I just didn't have the spoons. If it sticks around for another two weeks, I might be able to talk someone into seeing it with me.

I can name 0 Walking Dead characters. But that game still sounds like fun and I just put it in my Amazon shopping cart. Sounds like a great thing to bring with me to my next Con.

Geek Out is the perfect game to bring to a con!! Oh yes. We are actually having a Gaming Party on the 18th for all of my sister's geeky coworkers - they work in Record's Management, ofc they're giant geeks - just to play Geek Out. I'll be excited to play it with a large group.
