My Tivo Is Getting Jealous.

If you have the Netflix app, you will notice how when you sign in, it will say right at the top..."Continue Watching"...and have your most recent watched things available for you to just click on. Like if you stop a movie halfway through and want to finish it later or if you are watching a TV series, it will load up the next episode for you so you ( Read more... )

I should get netflixs. it sounds so good.

Also you have excellent taste in TV shows. But I'm not surprised that you have good taste, I've seen nothing but good taste from you on here and on Tumblr.

But maybe I'm biased as our taste is very similar. So when I say your taste is good I'm complimenting myself lol

It really is. They don't always have the best movie selection if you are just doing the streaming option, but their streaming for TV is excellent!

lol Thanks! We do have similar tastes! I just started watching Parenthood for the first time and I am really enjoying it! Also doing a rewatch of Numb3rs and House, finally watching all the episodes in order, lol.

ahahaha, yep. WE have good tastes!

I've heard some people say they spend longer browsing for stuff than watching stuff lol, but I think it could be worth looking into, like you say for TV shows more than anything.

I love house and numbers, such good shows. I need rewatches too. Houses ending was sad but perfect in my opinion and kept true to the whole Sherlock holmes themes running through the show.

I have a NOW TV box for streaming and I love it. Like Netflix you can continue where you left off. I can watch catch up on my TV set and I pay nothing extra!

That sounds like a good option too. Isn't it great - just having all of our TV right at our fingertips?!

I think Netflix is amazing, too, but I don't have their streaming service because I have bandwidth limits. I have their DVD service and I love it. Many people have told me that you can't get the bonus features that are on the DVDs. That is what I love about DVDs and that alone would keep me from using Netflix streaming. I really love the bonus features. I learn so much about how the film is made and sometimes I enjoy watching a movie a second time with the director's commentary.

The streaming is really better for TV, because then you can just watch episode after episode without waiting for a new disk to arrive. But for movies, the streaming doesn't always have the best options available and yeah, you can't get the extras. This is why we prefer to stream our TV shows and get our movies through disks. Definitely. We can only get one disk at a time though, so we often fight about what movie to put in the list next! ;)

Oh, that makes sense. You know you can get three DVDs at a time, if you want, but it costs more. I think it's $15. I get only one at a time for $8.99 which is OK with me because I watch a lot of TV, too, and there are only so many hours in the day. If there's something hubby wants to see,I add it to my queue, but we mostly like the same kinds of movies.
