THANK YOU!! I can't believe I actually did it. Now I really want to try for 150k this year but upon reflection that seems a bit too ambitious. Maybe 125? It does make me think though - I could write an actual novel, possibly.

You totally could!

I bet that 125,000 wouldn't feel like that much more than 100,000 - only a little more than 2000 additional per month. NaNo can't keep up with your awesomeness!

This is inspiring and I think I might at some point do a fic breakdown in some form. And oh, I have so many works in progress. *eyes them all*

Thank you! Keeping track of my word count has actually helped me write more than I ever thought I could. After the first year of keeping track, I realized how much I actually write in a year and started trying to meet certain goals, and every month do better than the last month, etc. It's really helped. And writing down all of these little tidbits had shown me some things about my writing process that has helped me as well.

I'd love to see a breakdown of your words - it's so fascinating to see what other writers are doing.

And oh, I have so many works in progress. *eyes them all*

The Work In Progress - the bane of every writer's existence. They just sit there, taunting you, begging you to finish them. For me, since Teen Wolf started back up a few weeks ago, I have all these Teen Wolf ideas I want to write and I am like, "Stay Focused - you have 26 wips you are working on, don't start another one!"

lololol Okay. ;) Actually I love comments like these, because I write in so many fandoms (sometimes I just write two or three fics in a fandom and then it loses my interest and I move on) - so when I get someone from a particular fandom poking me for more, it kind of boosts me up.

Lucky you - I have two finished Leverage fics waiting to be cleaned up/posted and one half finished Leverage fic (the Apartment AU is still sitting in my WIP folder) and ION has started running Leverage basically all weekend lately, so I have sort of stumbled my way back in love with those characters all over again. I think Leverage is going to be one of those fandoms like Without A Trace or Firefly, where I can never completely give it up. I love them all too much.

Now I just have to get back on actually posting some fics!

Oh, hey, if you have a WIP, check out http://wipbigbang.livejournal.com/.

I've been watching Leverage on Netflix A Lot and am currently 8,000 words into writing an Eliot/Aimee fic for the wipbigbang.

I've seen that wipbigbang around recently. It's a great idea! I did think about joining it, for any number of my wips (I have two Teen Wolf, one Leverage and one Lost Girl that are all going to be over 10k in size and could use some encouragement for). But I have a fear of challenges that have deadlines - I don't know why, but deadlines are a surefire way for me to freeze up, always has been.

I've been watching Leverage on Netflix A Lot and am currently 8,000 words into writing an Eliot/Aimee fic for the wipbigbang. I didn't even realize it was on Netfix! I have the first four seasons on DVD and I keep meaning to pick up S5 too. Still, when I come across it on TV, it's like I physically can't change the channel. There's something extra delightful about watching one of your favorite shows on TV, even if you own the DVDs. Friday I watched the one where they try to steal the ballpark for the mayor and Eliot plays baseball and gets a sandwich named after him. I love that moment where he comes into the bar and is telling them all ( ... )

Thank you! :)

It makes me wish I had kept track like this for all of the ten+ years I've been writing fanfic. I would love to compare to my earlier numbers. (I was crazy prolific in my freshman year though, so I doubt I could compete now).

Dude. Wow! I'm so impressed by this! July in particular. It intimidates me a little bit. ;)

Of the 8,350 words of Supernatural fic I wrote this year, ALL of them were for Dean/Cas stories.

Hells yeah. ;)

Looking forward to your Derek/Stiles fic. It sounds awesome! (and I know I SUCK at answering emails these days, but if you need any support/someone to vent to/a beta, let me know. Things have calmed down considerably on the newly moved in boyfriend front, and I have no studies to suck my energy anymore. I sorta miss you. And by 'sorta' I mean 'do'.)

Thank you, bb! I don't know what happened in July! Even I am a little intimidated by it and I am the one who did it. 8)

I didn't write that much in SPN this year, compared to other years, but I am highly amused that it was all Dean/Cas fic. You can see what I am in the show for these days! ;)

It's so ridiculous, bb, I can't even. It's going to be 50k long at this point and I'm not even sure they end up together at the end. They aren't even going to have full on sex in it, but it's still going to be 50k somehow. Because it's not just Derek/Stiles, but also Sheriff/Melissa and Stiles & Scott friendship and there are so many elements I am trying to work into it. And once it's finished? I have to go back to the Foster Care AU! I BLAME YOU ENTIRELY FOR ALL OF THIS!!!! Cool?

Holy shit! That's like... that's a lot!

Totally cool. *rubs hands together* Hehehehe (What? I sometimes pretend I'm a supervillain. It's completely normal!)

Wait...you moved in with the boyfriend? WOW. That's awesome!!

I didn't tell you?! Omg. Yes, yes I did! He moved to Sweden with me and now he's learning Swedish and trying to find a job and he doesn't really know anyone but me (or he didn't, slowly getting better) and it's all a bit scary and really awesome. :D There was, however, a pretty rough adjustment period where I didn't really go online at all because I was so caght up in all the drama. As you said, when I need it the most is when I don't have the energy to do it.

the sickness has made me depressed and anxious and not having my usual social contacts has just made that worse. When I need to be squeeing with you the most is when I don't have the ( ... )

*steels self for heartbreak*

It won't be that heartbreaking though. I really want to leave them at a good place - I want to give them a good ending, one where they are still in each others lives, but they are both so young, still teenagers and that can't last. I just want a happy ending that doesn't necessarily end in romance. The question is - am I good enough to pull that off? Or am I good enough to pull that off without causing a riot among my readers? Eep.

TOTALLY NORMAL. Doesn't everyone pretend they are a supervillian sometimes?

I didn't tell you?! Omg.

The last I knew you guys were talking about it, but he was worried about the language barrier, I think. It's so awesome and it sounds like you guys are doing so great living together!!!
