The Truth Is Out There. I Want To Believe. Trust No One.

Ever been trapped somewhere that you can't get out of and everything is pounding, pounding and shaking and you can't get out? Yep, welcome to being stuck at home while the roofers are re-roofing your house. At the ass crack of dawn. Right over your bedroom. Seriously, they’ve been here all day and while I am glad they are pushing through before ( Read more... )

Also, sorry, I concur with everything on that Time list of the Best 9, with maybe the exception of the first one. "Home" was so unsettling and disturbing to me when I first watched it that I had to stop eating during that horrible murder scene of the sheriff and his wife. Yeek.

I will say that "Paper Hearts" is on my top 5, along with "One Breath," so they got these picks right.

Hmmm, I think by the time Home came along, I was desentitized by The XFiles. Because I honestly thought Eugene Tooms was the scariest fucking thing ever, until Donnie Pfaster came along. (can't watch that actor in anything anymore without thinking he must be the bad guy). I actually agree with everything on that list except the Scully Centric ep - I'd go with Beyond The Sea, which is just a superb episode and shows us so much about Scully.

I'm think Paper Hearts may very well be my sister's favorite of all time. My favorite - Quagmire - never makes the list but I love it to pieces!

I hope your sister feels better in time for your Mom's bday and ugh, I'd go crazy trapped inside with roofers working all day.

X-files!! I really like that show. I came to it a little latter because of my age, but I always enjoyed it. Well most the time. I was a bit too young when I watched one ep and it ended up scaring the crap out of me, big time. But then I got big in to horror films and gave the x-files another go.

I even remember the ep that freaked me out!

Sis was a little shaky still on Mom's birthday but we managed to go out and celebrate and she worked the rest of the week and tried to take it easy this weekend a little bit. She's doing better now, thanks! And the roof is finished at last! It was just very claustrophobic knowing I was stuck here and couldn't get away from the noise!

OF COURSE YOU DID! YOU LIKE ALL THE AWESOME THINGS! You know, I didn't fully appreciate the love of it until I was like 18/19, because it started when I was 15 so I was a little young even then.

Glad she managed to get through it (using my Frank icon because he's famous for having bad health) And yay for the roofing being over. We had our loft converted into what is now my room and I was stuck home while it happened, went stir crazy.

It was an ep with this dwarf Alien thing? He was in an airport rolling around on a board with wheels and he came into the bathroom, slid under the stool door and attacked a guy, I think he crawled in the guy or something. It was gory I know that. But what got me was the way he crawled under the door gap, Had me staring at the door every time I had to use a public bathroom. I think I was about six or seven because it was when my mum was in hospital for her brain hemerage. Dad was in charge of TV and he let us watch anything, but by the time I was eight I was a horror junkie

I felt like it was on the tip of my tongue, like I could almost place what ep that was but I had to ask my sister. She determined you are confusing a couple of episodes - the carnival freak show one where the one dude has his twin brother that looked like a fetus attached to his body and it un-attaches at night and crawls under people's doors and kills them. And the scariest fucking X-Files episode ever, Home, (so scary that Fox refused to ever air it again in reruns) where some crazy hill people cut off their mom's arms and legs and kept her on a rollaway cart under their bed for breeding with. She also was like, "Whichever of those two episodes it was, she was too young to be watching it at that age!!" lol
