I would say use the old style repost button, it's not as creepy as the new one

but it apparently tends to fuck up a lot, people can repost from you, but LJ changes the coding and others then can't repost from people that reposted from you.

I'm not sure which one I used, (old or new - but it was really easy, just one simple code to put in) - but I just now had The BFF repost it from my journal to hers and she said it worked fine, and the re-post button appeared on her page when she re-posted it...so I think I did it all right? Should I have someone try to repost it from her page and see if that works as well?

You know, I almost came to you for a tutorial on how to do this but when I looked it up on the LJ faq page, it seemed easy, so I went ahead and tried it myself. I did think you would probably know which one was better, old or new, though.

Thanks for the help, babe! I feel all accomplished - after three years on LJ, I can still learn how to do something new!
