You're very welcome! So that's "when we get there" and not "if"? ;)

Let me know if you need some help with the bostaddirekt site. Also, a 1:a or 1 rok means 1 room and kitchen, which means a 1-room apartment or studio since they count the living room as a room - they don't just count the bedrooms. 2:a or 2rok means 1 bedroom, a 3:a or 3rok means 2 bedrooms, etc.

Also, have you been to amerikanska.com? It helped us a lot when we were planning to move :)

hi again!

i've been reading some unpleasant experiences of foreigners about the apartment renting situation there, seems there is a shortage? or is it just in central stockholm?

we have two months to look for an apartment (from august), do you think that is enough time?

sensya na kung makulit ha!

thanks again!

If I understand it correctly, there is a shortage of "1st hand contracts". Basically these are government-subsidized apartment buildings, and the lucky ones who get a slot after years of waiting pay a very low price for housing. But there are lots of folks who own private apartments and lease them out, I don't think there is a shortage of those if you just know where to look.

Two months is more than enough - if you use bostaddirekt I'm sure it will go even faster. We got here Monday evening, signed up with bostaddirekt on Wednesday, were moving in on Friday :)

I know that they have so many questions about Sweden because I've been there too, so it's no trouble at all!

Hello, no problem about the question but I don't have experience in applying for working permits. My husband is half-Swedish so I applied for a residence permit on the grounds of our relationship, and it included a working permit already.

hi,

di pala slow ang HR sa company... nag vacation sya. two weeks na ata sya wala at puno na ang email nya. ganyan ata ang vacation sa sweden, dibdiban. ginagawang career.

nga pala, matanong ko lang, mas ok ba na dyan bumili ng winter clothes? im thinking of buying it here in the US (habang summer at sale ang winter wear), bago kami uwi sa pinas.hehe.

thank you ulit. madami na akong utang sa yo. kung meron ka gusto ipabili sa pinas, sabihin mo lang ha.

Yes, they take vacations seriously here! In July a lot of offices and stores, and daycare centers, are closed.

Sa US ka na lang bumili, much cheaper. 25% tax dito, almost everything is a lot more expensive!

Simple lang naman ang gusto ko, Chocnut tsaka Chippy. hehe
