Everything is soooo expensive. I'm trying hard not to convert everything in my head, but for God's sake, in less than 24 hours we've spent about 24,000 pesos. The taxi ride alone cost more than 5,000 pesos!

We're going out to look at apartments - wish us luck!

Hmm I dunno how far the airport was from the bed & breakfast we stayed in, but the ride lasted for more than an hour. Kinikilabutan ako every time tumunog yung meter at nadagdagan yung babayaran namin, hehe.

The standard of living in Europe is really very high if you compare it against Asian standards.

Don't do the conversion anymore, just try to keep a tight leash on your wallet for now, haha. After you live there for a while, you won't even think about conversions.

Sweden is a Schengen country and also a member state of the European Union, how come its currency is still the krona and has not adapted the euro?
