That was very constructive.

I think what our trolling friend was trying to say is that this is a temporary situation and you will find work again soon. If it's any consolation, my family is in the same spot as you are right now and it sucks. Oh, and no, you don't know me. I saw this on a random LJ picture post. That's about as cold as cold gets for a layoff notice. Actually, no. It could be worse... back in 2000 I was working IT tech support, Level 3 and the powers that be decided to...SURPRISE!...outsource to India. Oh, but it gets better! They flew these..........people to the States and shouldered us with the pleasure of training our replacements. Good times! At least the City only shot you int he back of the head and didn't make you dig your grave first. Don't worry. IT'S TEMPORARY.

Hey thanks for your story as well, hey things happen for a reason, maybe I'll get a gig closer to home (75 minute commute each way.)

*hugs* I do know it sucks, especially with the little one at home now, but these things happen for a reason. Now our reason, usually, but it's not a pointless event. Hopefully you won't have to wait very long to find out what's next!
