Oh. Man. This post is filled with so miuch awesome, so much. Did you guys make custom cookie cutters, or what? How'd you make the daleks? They're craaaazy. Did Kristine just lay extra dough over the base piece to get it to look 3D like that?

And the cybermen cake! That's some crazy icing. ... How on earth did you manage that??

I really like the lil' marshmallow adipose babies. That's a great idea.

Unfortunately, we didn't have any cookie cutters. We had to shape the dough by hand. And yeah, she laid an extra layer of dough down with the spots and the base and all. I was quite surprised when it actually turned out looking like it was supposed to.

The Cyberman cake was pretty simple. We had grey icing in plastic bags that Kristine just sort of squeezed out like she was drawing, which she's pretty good at doing. There was a bit of a mess-up with mixing the icing, so we ended up with a few different shades of grey, so we decided to use the extra for shading and detailing and stuff. But really, it was all down to Kristine being a crazy person.

You shaped those cookies... By hand? If I had a clapping icon, I would use that.

I think the next time I make a cake with friends, we'll try the plastic bag drawing method. We're all pretty handy with the pencil, so it should turn out fun.

How did you mix grey icing? (Sorry all the questions.) XD

I think we mixed red, blue, and orange/yellow dye, the way you'd make black, but we only put a little bit of dye to make sure it stayed light enough.

The Adipose idea wasn't actually ours. I'm pretty sure I've seen it once before on the crafty_tardis comm.

And, for Torchwood, we'll likely have a lot of REALLY CREAMY stuff.

These are so great! The cyberman cake is amazing. And the adipose marshmallows are just too adorable.
