I was recently interested in what would happen if a woman were cast as The Doctor and it turned into how the whole of 21st Century Doctor Who would differ if The Doctor and companions were Gender-Swapped. So here is the start with a look at an alternative 9th Doctor era:

Are you trying to invoke the Bechdel Test (or, as Ms Bechdel prefers, the Bechdel-Wallace test), named for cartoonist Alison Bechdel, from this Dykes to Watch Out For strip?

If so, she spells her name without an L.

I'll stick to the common usage. Otherwise I find people ask what the difference is. We'll take your comment as acknowledgement of the original inspiration. :)

I'm working on my own idea for The Doctor becoming female. Nina Sosanya (most recently in Last Tango in Halifax; that I've seen) is the image I have in my mind; though Adjoa Andoh was on my shorlist as well.
