Pricing Guide?

Is there any site that you believe gives the best advice for what Doctor Who stuff should cost? I have a ton of books I want to sell but the prices I see online vary so dramatically. And I really don't want to buy a book to sell books. I don't want to charge a whopping amount but I don't want to sell short, either.

You could try going to eBay, search for your book, and see what books in the same condition as yours sold for?

I usually do that before trying to sell anything, that way I have a ballpark idea of what something is worth...

If you are selling on eBay, you could set a reserve, so your book won't sell unless the bid reaches the reserve price.

Thanks. I was actually hoping there was one site that had as near definitive prices as could be found. That might be what I'll have to do.

You can also look on Amazon. I am buying a lot of things from one person, and we went with the Amazon averages.

You should also be aware of how selling works on ebay. If you set a high reserve you might not sell the items, and then ebay gets you in fees, or so I'm told. O_O

If using ebay, definitely emphasise that you have many to sell. With the cost of postage now, combined is worth so much for those trying to build a nice collection. I always look for sellers that have a few books I want, even if it means paying a bit more per book.
For this reason I limit my search to 'Buy it now' so that I can plan a nice package and know how much I can buy within my budget, and not have to wait and see what I actually come away with. I think having a buy it now option for the books that aren't especially collectible is very useful.

Thanks for the advice. I used eBay ages ago when I was selling my Dr Who videos!

I have a small used bookstore and often check prices against Abe.com, bearing in mind the lowest prices are really too low.
