When Eccleston regenerated, I wasn't sure the next one would be as good, although he had me laugh with the "new teeth, that's weird". I decided to watch The Christmas Invasion, and if he didn't convince me I'd just watch the Shakespeare episode (S3 had started airing when I began to watch the show) and be done with it ( ... )

I cried like a fiend when Ten regenerated. I actually "boycotted" Who for a while because I'd grown so attached to Tennant. I still loved it and watched Nine and Ten episodes, but I couldn't watch Matt for a long time. Finally, I watched Eleven, and with the words "Still not Ginger!" I was sold.

Ten is my Doctor, but I was ready for him to be put out of his misery already when the time came because the show had turned into such an overblown angst-fest by the end of his run. So I reacted more nonchalantly than I had originally expected to. It was weird getting Matt Smith in, and it took me a bit to adjust to him, but that's the nature of the show -- it changes.

After Ten's regeneration I cried for about two or three days without stopping. Never in my life have I been so upset about... death? of the fictional character
