My first encounter would have been The Gallifrey audios, when my wife bought the entire first season. Once again these are probably my favourites, a great cast giving us a Whoniverse political thriller. I would love a live-action spin-off series in a similar fashion.

Annoyingly I haven't read as many of the BBC books here as I would like because a number of them are overly expensive. Blood and Hope and Sleep of Reason are alright but not stellar, whilst all the alternative timelines stuff is really forgettable. Unfortunately Big Finish isn't much better. The Natural History of Fear is interesting but it really just relies on the end twist (which I had worked out by episode 2), Caerdroia is quite enjoyable for the multiple doctors and Kro'ka but not quite up to the same high standard as Rose's 8DAs.

The worst of they year for me is probably The Creed of the Kromon as Philip Martin essentially just rehashed his old plots together again and kicked off the rest of the mediocre arc.
