In the lead up to the 50th anniversary there are new audio adventures for all the Doctors. Which (at least to my knowledge) marks the very first audio story featuring the Ninth Doctor and in the company of Rose and Jack no less: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1471311759/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1There is also a new adventure with ( Read more... )

there seem to be a BBC audio for each Doctor, and each one features a companion for that Doctor, but not the Doctor himself. It's an interesting idea... It'll be fun to hear Catherine Tate do the one for Ten, for example. :)

I've listened to the Ninth Doctor's audio and although it is the sole story that is not read by any actual companions, Nicolas Briggs brilliantly nailed Nine's mannerisms. At some points he even sounds like Eccleston... had to stop and cry with joy at times...we haven't had a new story with Nine for such a long time.

The story itself is pretty entertaining, with some intense scenes touching upon how the Ninth Doctor is still recuperating from the Time War, just like it would have appeared in the show. I'd rank it as one of my top favourites from all the current Destiny of the Doctor audios, next to the Second and Third Doctor's.
