It's always nice to see Eccleston in a role where he isn't the bad guy or a guy where nothing but bad things happen to him. I wish he would do more roles like this.

Another one: the actor who played Mickey had a small role in Star Trek: Into Darkness.

When I saw him I was like, "Wait... is that...? OMG LOOK THAT'S MICKEY!" I don't think the other theatre-goers were as enthusiastic.

He looks so grown-up. I was very impressed with his performance, tbh.

I had to do a double take to make sure the blonde actress playing the lieutenant wasn't actually Billie Piper, myself.

They didn't play major roles in DW (well, three of them kind of did), but a few actors who were in the show are now playing (or in the case of one, played) somewhat more leading roles in Game of Thrones :
-The actor who played the lead cleric in "The Time of Angels"/"Flesh And Stone" plays Sir Jorah.
-Liam Cunningham (the submarine captain in "Cold War") plays Sir Davos.
-Harry Lloyd (Baines/"Son of Mine" in "Human Nature"/"The Family of Blood") played Viserys Targaryen in the show's first season, and also played a younger version of Margaret Thatcher's husband in the film The Iron Lady.

-Thomas Sangster, who played Tim Latimer in the aforementioned New Who S3 story, has recently shown up as a traveling companion of Bran Stark's (the boy who's now paralyzed) who also has the ability to
see visions.

Others
-Paul McGann, a.k.a. the Eighth Doctor, has an at least recurring lead role in the show Luther (might be had by now, as I've fallen behind in keeping up with it ( ... )
