2 points of confusion on the newer versions of Doctor Who

1) The Cybermen were the original badasses, moreso than the Daleks to me. They were people that went cyborg, been pestering the Doctor since his 2nd incarnation. Now though they originated from a parallel reality and started as humans from the Earth there, but shortly after Rose started hanging with the Doctor we see an old school Cyberman head in

It's possible that the current Star Trek/Doctor Who crossover comic will explain whatever happened to the old school cybermen...

Comic series is AU (alternate universe) so explanations gleaned from it are no better than those revealed when the X-Men got stuck on both Kirk and Picard's Enterprise.

1. Revenge of the Cybermen and Earthshock told of a denoument to Cybeman history in which the rest of the galaxy/universe ganged up on them and reduced them to nomadic maurauders.
2. I'm pretty sure the only tall Sontarans were the ones in The Two Doctors. In their first story The Time Warrior the Doctor called them "nasty, brutish and short". Note also that they reproduce by cloning, so they may be whatever was felt they needed to be in order to fight where their group were bred to fight.

2) Well, tallish. Most of the Sontarans weren't as small as the most recent version. Those newer ones are so small that soldiers from UNIT thought they were little kids wearing a costume until the helmet came off.

I went to the Classic site to for info and found this: Five was pretty--but COLD.

I recall the Sontarans wearing shiny, silver Human style armor to match the time period, but basically they were the same height in the Time Warrior as the Humans.
