The famous hairdresser Vidal Sassoon died this week. None of the mainstream press obituaries mention (and nobody else in this community seem to have remembered) that he made a major contribution to early Doctor Who in designing Carole Ann Ford's at-the-time very alien and avant-garde haircut as Susan.

Aside from the Oh my God aspect of his death, that fact was the first thing that crossed my mind.
