I have never heard of David Cameron's plans until now. It's actually laughable! How can he even justify it? Possibly the silliest policy I've ever heard.

Probably because he hasn't announced any according to Downing Street. I'm not a fan of Cameron but this story has all the hallmarks of gossip and rumour. More reputable papers have the 'alleged' word in their reports.

Ah I see. I'll take this with a pinch of salt unless it's announced! No matter what people think of him, surely he wouldn't be stupid enough to alienate part of the population like this!

Why not? He did it during the election. IIRC at the start of 2010 about 40% of homosexuals supported the Conservative party, by the election it was less than 1%. This was because of issues like the party chairman saying hotels should have the right to exclude people based on sexuality. I even knew some people who provided active support for the Conservative party but hated him because, they said, he was a complete homophobe.
