Midnight - the monster's name
In the beginning of the shuttle ride the Hostess hands over the reins to the captain and he maps out the tour details. He said that the shuttle would have to make a slight detour through Winter Witch Canyon.
Could that be the name of the alien? It would go along with the witchcraft theme of the episode. You have Skye getting possessed. Then when she was copying everyone Jethro calls out, "666." And the whole mobs burns down into a Crucible like witch hunt complete with villagers with torches, trying to figure out who to shove out of the airlock. Even the name Midnight can be see as a witch reference since another name for midnight is "the witching hour".
