I *love* visiting supermarkets in other cities, and especially ones in other countries. I always find something unexpected, and I like seeing the differences in regional cuisines/buying patterns.
What was the name of the place where you got the awesome quesadilla? I want to file it away for the next time I visit Toronto.
Foreign supermarkets are the best! When I was last in LA, I was somewhat disproportionately interested in the supermarket I visited compared to the other, legitimately exciting things I did XD But they had an apple variety I'd never seen in the northeast!
The quesadilla place is called Maizal, and it's on Jefferson Avenue just off of King St West. It comes highly recommended from me, the owners are really sweet and friendly and it's phenomenally great food. At present, they close fairly early during the week (7pm if I remember correctly) so best to plan to go there for lunch, early dinner, or a leisurely afternoon nosh. SO GOOD.
Yay, more 'Sami Eats' episodes. Even though they always make me deeply desire things like quesadillas which I haven't eaten for ages and they look so good!
First of all, I love your flowered shirt. It's adorable and you look lovely in it!
Also, those quesadillas look amazing. I remember like nothing about Toronto when I went except we went to this buffet place and they had Belgian waffles.
