And yeah, I just couldn't kill them off. Thought about leaving it open-ended, but there's something oddly satisfying about the status quo being more or less restored (only with more snogging).

(And and AND the last episode of Enterprise was so bad, it kind of made the rest of the series seem almost not terrible by comparison. Not their finest hour, by any means. It made the finale of Voyager look good. And yes, all this is coming from a trekkie...)

I love a good day-saving ass pull. It was either that or go all Samuel Beckett on this thing and just not resolve anything, and where's the spinoff potential in that? Frack, for all my years in theatre, I have the mind of a TV executive.

(As much as I loved Voyager, by the end I kind of wanted to punch a bunch of those people in the mouth. THEY HOOKED JANEWAY UP WITH A HOLOGRAM?! Ugh. WHY. As for Enterprise, I almost feel bad for them because the cancellation snuck up on them halfway through the last season or so, but not enough to forgive the abomination that is the last episode, or, for that matter, many of the episodes that preceded it... TRIP GETS PREGNANT?!)
