I'm planning to write an NB fic for the small fandom big bang and have been avoiding reading the fanfic so it wouldn't affect how I saw the characters. Let me rain a million curses upon your head for how good these stories are! I'll never get them out of my head! The lovely Dan Ashcroft. The beautiful Richard Ayoade heading to certain death in the first scene. Claire. The eulogy. Jazz hands. No, I kind of hate you.

WOOHOO WRITE A NB STORY YES YES YES. And read all the good stuff out there! I read a ton of NB stuff before I started writing my own, and I think the way it affected me most was not so much the backstory or character interpretation, as much as it all goes to show how much potential there is in these characters to go in so many different directions without losing what makes them them, you know?

I'm trying to limit myself to reading one fanfic a day so I can finish my own fics, get my schoolwork done, raise my toddler, find a job to pay for grad school... All I want to do is read fanfic and look at pics of Julian as Dan Ashcroft!!!!!! Is that so wrong?
