Thank you so much for posting this! I was unable to watch the special when it aired and kept hearing about Matt's video message and how sweet it was. You rock! Also thanks for being positive. Nice to see a post by some one with an open mind. Personally I think he looks like a great choice and I'm excited for 12.

I really hope that River gets to meet him. I feel like given her line in the library about "never show{ing} up in the right order" should mean that she gets to stick around for future doctors in her younger days. Also they didn't quite wrap up her story in the Name of the Doctor so I guess time will tell.
