Mainly I just wanted to ask if this means that filming on the 50th anniversary special is done.

I think there might've been a tweet from the official DW twitter about it being done? But I'm not sure because my memory's deciding to be fuzzy about it.

ETA: Here's a link that apparently says that, yup, the filming is finished. :D

It was finished about a week or so ago, although there were rumours/hints that some other things without-Matt were shot in the last few days (meaning supposed minisodes or other scenes.)

GET. OUT.

I think he looks good from other angles but my first thought when seeing that particular pic this morning was "OMG BAT BOY????"

I had nightmares about Bat Boy for like three years as a kid.

Oh, it could be worse. You could be looking at the Weekly World News book, Bat Boy Lives, from across the room. Matt looks like Bat Boy's sane twin!

NO.

I mean, it was his ears, they look really pointy in that picture, and that angle plus the shaved head isn't doing him any favors. D:

damn I'm sorry, those must've been horrific

But doesn't he not have a twitter? She'd probably text him about it though. xD

I saw that earlier today, and have to admit, got a little verklempt at the loss of the teak crest of awesome.

But it's hair, it will grow back, and despite rumours elsewhere, I don't think Matt's lying about being in the Christmas Special, which means that he'll start growing it back as soon as filming on How To Catch A Monster is finished (which I think is about 6 weeks, NOT the three months people keep claiming it is). He'll be at Comic Con in July AFAIK, so we'll know by then. (Plus there's always wigs and/or extensions or stuff being written into the script to explain it -- hell, if they can explain away Mark Hamill's busted face in The Empire Strikes Back, the Doctor's Hair is easy peasy)

He was trying to get in touch with his inner Nine.
