In case anyone missed it, here's "The Bells of Saint John" prequel that aired on the BBC official site earlier today (it's still there, but this is the YouTube version):
I feel like I should feel weird about YET AGAIN the Doctor meets a girl when she's young and then later once she's grown up, but the cute is overwhelming it. :P
I had the same thought, but it's played so differently, since it's not likely to be hugely memorable for either of them...the tone just seems different.
and on a random other note, I love that music. It's the Van Gogh episode music (though I'm sure they've used it a lot, that's just where I remember it from). It so suits Eleven.
As to the music...I may have watched certain scenes of that episode waaay more than I'm prepared to admit. Both the episode and the scenes kind of embody everything I like about this doctor- and the show really- that element of careful kindness, the product of too much pain. The knowing bitter-sweetness that overshadows but does not diminish even the most hopeful and happy things.

I didn't realize the music was the same as from the Van Gogh episode. That's interesting.
Nice Hawkeye icon, btw. :)
