I wonder if quantum physics is actually the explanation they are using for the show or if that's just something the interviewer made up.

That was my thought too. Interesting to know that she's going to carry on into S8 as well - follows Moffat's pattern so far, I guess, of keeping companions around for a while, as opposed to RTD's one-a-season approach.

Such a nice interview! Thanks for sharing. JLC is gorgeous, ambitious, and really seems to have a good head on her shoulders.

Also, the tidbit about Matt Smith filming a movie with Ryan Gosling is an added bonus.
